Study Coordinator: Anastasia Filippou

I graduated from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1999 and immediately became an active member of the educational community. I started teaching at a tutoring center in the center of Athens, where I taught for 5 years. In 2004, my husband and I made the decision to move to Canada, a decision that was not difficult to make, as he was born and raised there. So, after a few months, I found myself working in Winnipeg, Manitoba, giving English lessons to immigrants from various countries who needed to familiarize themselves with the language, as well as teaching Greek to young children of Greek descent who needed to maintain their connection with the Greek language. My journey in this enchanting but different country came to an end in 2009 when we decided to return to our beloved Greece. From that point onwards, I worked at a tutoring center, mainly responsible for the diploma classes. After these 11 years and counting numerous successes, I felt ready for the next step, which is Vox English School, an online tutoring center that is in no way inferior to a traditional one.

Our Collaborators

Besides myself, all our colleagues have taught English proficiency exams at all levels in tutoring centers, online, and at students' homes. All of our teachers are graduates of Greek universities with a renewed license from the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications & Vocational Guidance (ΕΟΠΠΕΠ).

GOALS

Despite our experience, we continually attend methodology seminars and various workshops organized periodically by certified entities such as the Hellenic American Union and the British Council. This is done to keep ourselves informed so that we can update parents and students regarding the exams they undertake and help them choose the appropriate certification based on their needs. Our aim is to provide our students with additional advice and educational materials to help them achieve their goals more easily.
